3 Steps to Fabulous: A Get Ready for Monsoon To-Do List

It's officially July! Rip the month of June off your calender & sigh in utter satisfaction because it's monsoon!!

The gray skies are already staring at you from behind your window, right??? And when you get into your car after a long day of work, the interior is almost unbearably damp, right? And the local cafe has switched out the signs of summery frappes for seasonal hot drinks, right? Yes!!

The local shops are preparing for summer & fashion, too, is changing gears: gray nail lacquers, chic ponys & waterproof footwear are everywhere. Join in on the effort to make the change of seasons official: read on for ideas on prepping yourself to be monsoon-ready!!

   1. Exfoliate.

A weekly exfoliation with a clay masque will slough off weather beaten cells & reveal fresh ones.

   2. Hydrate.

Using a hydrating masque a few times a week will keep your fresh skin looking supple & healthy. I ♥Avon's Solution Plus Maximum Moisture Hydrating Mask. Biotherm's Eau Pure Milk is another favorite with key ingredient Vitamin E to help smooth & refine skin.

   3. Moisturize.

Supplement your weekly routine with gentle moisturizing day & night creams. The monsoon doesn't call for heavy formulas simply because coupled with humidity they feel uncomfortable & tend to clog your skin. Choose a light serum for the day & wear it under your sunscreen. I like Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel in Tube for its light texture. A moisturizing lotion like Faces' No More Shine Oil Free Moisture Gel will keep skin hydrated at night.

Those are the things on my to-do list for now!!! How about you?? Is there any type of prep work for monsoon that you think is absolutely essential?
