I Tried it. Faces Artificial Nails

As a girl who will smear even the quickest drying nail polish before it sets & chip it right after that, I'm always testing new nail polishes that promise quick-drying & long-lasting wear.

So, I was very excited to learn about the new Faces Nail Favorites Artificial Nails. These aren't like the nail stickers of childhood, i.e. stick-ons of flowers or stars. Faces nails are supposed to look like they were your real nails.

The artificial nails come in 10 different styles ranging from glitters to metallic. I chose the French manicure pattern. Want to see what I thought of them?? Read on for my experience with the Faces Nail Favorites Artificial Nails.

   The Application Process:

   Step 1:  Prep

The kit includes 24 artificial nails, a glue & a stick. It also includes basic, illustrated instructions. First, it's necessary to prep your nails for application which includes washing your hands, shaping the nails with a file & smoothing the nail surface with a buffer. The instructions also suggest removing any residual dust.

Step 2: Apply the artificial nails

After prepping my nails, I was ready to begin applying the artificial nails. The instructions included in the kit explain the process very well, so application wasn't too challenging. When I first counted the 24 nails included with the kit I was confused, but I soon learned the extra nails include a wide variety of sizes to fit everyone's nails. I had no problem finding correctly sized nails for my nails.

To apply, all you need to do is choose the nail. The ends of each nail have different shapes so it's easy to match them to your natural nail shape. Then, simply attach the applicator to the top of the nail & apply a generous amount of glue to the underside of the nail!!! You then use the cuticle area as a pivot point & gently lower the nail on to the natural nail.

Overall, the application was a breeze, which was impressive to me, considering I'm not the most dexterous person. From start to finish, the entire application process took around 20 mins.

   Final Advice + Review:

The Faces Nail Favorites Artificial Nails were relatively simple to apply & obviously needed no 'drying' time. In addition, the patterns are beautiful & are so much more graphic than anything you could achieve using nail polish from a bottle.

However, the Faces Artificial Nails did fall short when it came to long-lasting wear. The product comes off in hot water, so I ended up removing mine within a day. So at around Rs.300 per kit, these nails could be expensive to maintain.

I rate the Faces Nail Favorites Artificial Nails a 4.5 out of 5.

Overall, the Faces Artificial Nails are a great way to achieve gorgeous, unique nails without much effort. Even though I don't think they're particularly cost effective since they aren't so long lasting, I still adore all of the amazing prints & patterns available. They'd be great for a special occasion when you want to do a little something 'extra', but probably aren't practical for daily wear.

Have you ever tried the Faces Artificial Nails?? What were your results & do you've any application tips to share??? Do you think the artificial nails are worth Rs.300?? Are there any nail trends you're dying to try out?
